engines that can do 8k or so
…ones that dont stop making HP at like 6k rpm in the process
and this can be either stock, or with aftermarket intake & cams, plus what ever it takes to keep the bottom end together

updated the first post.
im mainly looking for some comparison material for a project in the making
Mitsubishi 3000GT (6G72TT) should be able to hit 8K without too much work.
NSX FTMFW
then skyline, supra, even the 3.4 dohc engine out of the z32 reved to 7500 stock i believe
skyline and supra are not v6’s
twin dual overhead cam would probably spring a leak.
I know everyone is gonna talk shit about this one but … the 3.4 quad cam from the W-Body family are high rpm screamers once you delete the limiter
GM did one hell of a job detuning the piss outta those motors
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Truth
and the Z32 never cam with 3.4 unless u meant the Z34 Luminas…Pontic Grand Prixs and Cutlass Supremes like Derrick was referrring too

No, can you please exlpain???
well the L67 3800 can make some really good power. Has run a best of 9.011@150 with stock bottom end, TT, custom cam and heads. I’m not saying it will run up to 8k but it will run to 7k and still make good power with the right set up and be reliable with a solid tune.
Heres a ZZP dyno run up to 7k with a pretty solid power curve. This was done with a ported M90, cam, heads, and stock bottom end. Whats nice about this set up is you can run 10’s and still get 25+mpg on the highway. If you went turbo and a turbo cam you can make a lot more power than that.
Plus it sounds pretty good

If you could get ahold of a Formula 1 v6 engine, you could turn 19,000 rpms…lol
I would look into a 6g72? from the 3000gt/stealth platform. Its expensive but i have seen some people turning some high rpms
