I’m trying to think why these two sites would be down, then realized the big ice storm that happened in the North East…
Both websites are totally down, right when I was going to enter my meter reading and pay my bills…
I’m going to un-enroll in those stupid online pay things, and just use my BOA online bill pay to mail them physical checks in the mail. I have ten different passwords, and they all expire at different times, even my firefox password manager can’t keep up.
I locked myself out of the stupid new national grid website twice, having to call them. Fuck em, they can send me a paper bill from here on out.
Just enroll is budget billing and then setup auto payment on your Bank of America. I think every single bill I have is auto pay every month from my BOA bank account (rent, car, insurance).
I like to pay them manually with BOA billpay, my girlfriend and I split some of the bills, but autopay would be one less thing for me to worry about.
Seriously, it used to be a convenience to pay your bills on the Internet, but when they update their sites every 2 months, and change password complexity requirements every 6 months, it turns into a huge pain in the ass.
