NECC Hot Lap Event July 23

Here are the details you have been waiting for.

Saturday July 23, 2005
8:00 a.m.
Namao (see map below)
$35 for official NECC members
$45 for anyone else with any other make/model car.

Registration is on a first come, first serve basis, no reservations.

All drivers will receive burgers, hot dogs and pop and we will be setting up some entertainment for when you aren’t driving.

Spectating is free, but you must register with the base before the deadline

Also we will be looking for people to marshall when not driving.

The track will be more open and flowing and will have less hard corners than an autoX course, however we would like to ask that there is no intentional drifting on the track, or in surrounding areas.

Registration will be due Friday July 16, and a registration form that you can download will be up shortly. Payment and registration can be made at the dyno day, or either of the next two monthly meetings, or in person, or paypal, or cheque.

Late registered cars may not be admitted to the base. The event staff can be provided with a complete list so they know who is coming late - but they reserve the right to refuse entry to those who aren’t properly pre-registered.

We have the track from 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM. If everyone gets their ass in gear and we tech and do the driver’s meeting by 9AM, that means 8 full hours of hotlapping goodness.

Spectators are free but they must be register with the base before the deadline.

Spots left: 30/30

Don’t get lost

REGISTRATION FORM!!!

you can count me in…hopfully my skyline will be here in time for it :chin:

sounds awesome, i r in…

Good idea providing food there. That means you don’t have to take a break for people to run off the base and grab food. Whenever they do that someone always gets stopped for speeding in the base.

Anyhow, I’ll be in for this for sure. :E

I am in with my KA. Hopefully someone brings a camera because i’m hopeing to blow it up there. On the 25Th is when the swap begins. Count me in.

How much is it to come and watch

You know im there.

Oh wait i just re-read it and i will marshall when not driving.

I’m pretty sure I’ll be there. Probably with a friend if 84 Rabbits are allowed  I’ll have to pay at one of the meetings. Finally get to meet all you folks.

B-Wurm

I will be there as usual doing timing and being a recovery vehical

Hmmm an 84 Rabbit, mabey my buddy in an 81 Scirorro will come as well. i booked it off work today so i can go.

Awww, don’t worry. I’ll take you for a rip around the track. :E

what the hell happend to my post…
im in for sure…

Drifto - there is no charge for spectating, but if you aren’t a registered driver you won’t get the food that’s included in the price, that’s all. Not sure yet how much that will be, but probably not very much.

ALL SPECTATORS ARE WELCOME, provided that they are pre-registered with us and that they follow the rules of the base, which we will send out with each application form.

And to top it all off, the timing gear arrived today. Set it up in 15 mins and she was off and running - works great. When my dad comes back with the laptop tonight I’ll be able to test the PC hookup stuff on it.

Awesome man! Any word on the mutiple timer program?

i’ll see if I can get up to edmonton for that date, the wife has been nagging for me to come up anyways.

Nope on the multiple timer - I think I may have to do some serious internet scouring for that, but we’ll see.

On the plus side, we set it up in the UC parking lot last night at a distance of at least 80 feet apart and it worked like a hot damn. Arabian_Ryda finally ran a 13. (In a circle around the parking lot. :E)

so if I just want to drop by and watch the races, perhaps take pictures is there an additional cost?

Spectators will be free, but you must register to get onto the base. So register anyways if you think there is a chance of you showing uo. This goes for everyone.
