Bump for the day crew, and so Nick remembers to ask about this.
Out here they do that as far as repairing it. They ended up replacing their part, which was the problem because it was clay pipe. The clay pipe is only in 2 foot sections so there are a lot of joints for roots to enter. My section is cast iron so it did not have the problem. However, if it was just plugged they would come out and snake it no mater where the problem was.

She says ~$100. ballpark. They’re reputable, and popular in Willyville. FWIW
I’ll check w/Jack tonight to see if he wants / can do side job.
Let Jack know I’ll gladly pay cash. Not that I would ever suggest that someone might want to do a job and not report it as income to the oh so greedy state of NY. Just saying if cash is easier it’s an option.
If he doesn’t want the job I’ll probably just go with your wife’s company. That’s Ed Youngs right?
dump copper sulfate 1 time per year down the drain to prevent roots from growing back into the line.
I guess I can never complain about my job when you think about the people that have to clean shit and rubbers out of a sewer every day.
