ok, i purchased a used upper fairing from someone with about 400 transactions on ebay and 97% positive feed back. i won the auction and sent payment on 2/9. it got to be about the 23rd and i sent a message and asked where my fairing was at. i got no response, so i sent another message on the 27th asking again where my fairing was at. i finally got a response and it says that keep an eye on my email and payapl account becuase a refund has been initiated due to the reason enclosed on the refund. so i figure ok, no big deal i just try to find antoher one. so im waitin for my refund to the tune of about $230. well then i noticed somthing
i found the fairin for sale again, exact same ad word for word, same pics, except for 2 small changes. one, it is now under a different screen name, and 2 shippin is now $80 instead of $45 that i paid. so now im thinkin, boy thats fishy. so its now 3/6, and i still have no refund. i sent another message askin where my refund is and they said that its out of their hands, the funds have left them and they dont control how long it takes my bank to process it. heres my question: if they are refunding it, shouldnt it come up at least as pending funds to my paypal acct? or if they are refunding it to my bank acct, can i go to my bank and ask them if i have any pending funds about to be depostited to my account? im not sure what to do here, becuase i cant prove one way or the other if they actually refunded my money.
i think i will try to see if my bank can help me out at all, but if they cant, i think i should get paypal/ebay invovled. wat do you guys think?
will the bank actually be able to tell me if i have something pending to be deposited to my account? im goin to stop in and talk with them tomorrow, and if they have no idea what im talkin about i will alert ebay, and paypal, and leave negative feedback.
i was scrolling thru this person’s feedback and it looks like they’ve done this a few times BUT everyone says that they got refunded.
Report his current listing to eBay NOW, so that they can stop it.
Also contact paypal now, so they can try and get your money. If his account is empty (I suspect it is), your fucked, unless you paid with a credit card, or his account gets money in it.
Leave negative feedback, and report your auction to ebay as an item not sent.
your bank should be able to tell you if something is pending however they cannot tell you if you have a pending on your paypal account. paypal and ebay is were you start also you could contact his local law enforcement if it gets really bad.
File with paypal as everyone has said, show them both auctions. Persons ebay and paypal could have become phished due to stupidity(people that fill out those emails stating changing your user and pass and sends them to a bunk site).
Now correct me if im wrong, usualy when you get money sent back to your paypal it sits there till you deposit it correct? I usualy only add my bank accounds as debit cards.
