You looked like you were doing something kid just roll through no need to call.

looked like i was doing something? i went to napa, other than that i sat on my ass all day

Ok well just got back from a lil vacation and today i pulled all the accessories off the motor.I still have to take the clutch and timming chain off Though. But other than that its moving along for doing it by myself :).

nice dude. thats great to hear :thumbup

doing it by yourself ftw. that being said, if you need an extra hand with something let me know :lol

well you know where i live roll through.

I’ll trade you my sick down pipe for your clutch. You should get a new one anyway.

haha im eating dinner then working on my ride, i’ll need an extra set of hands tomorrow or thursday when i drop the motor, i’ll give you a buzz. you do the same to me if you need it!

What was that clutch you were telling me to get again? And what short block Manufacturing would you suggest?

I don’t know what power you’re expecting so I don’t know what clutches you’d need. 500hp Subaru and daily driver don’t mix well.

If you want to waste your money on a short block, listen to what Corey just said. If you want to save your money and still have a bulletproof block, buy all the internals yourself and have someone local build the motor.

buy some Pauter rods, CP pistons for whatever bore size you are going to have. Calico coated bearings. new oil pump, oem gaskets

Im gonna stay right in the same power range im in now maybe a lil more.

Call Synapse and talk to Paul as he has built many sti engines or if you can get ahold of Boxersix Im sure he could steer you in the right direction with out breaking the bank on some big name engine.

Whats not good about 500hp dd Subies?

In terms of drivability. Imagine dding any 500hp car :lol

well ppl do it w/ hondas all the time. depending on the build they are pretty reliable (considering). Only real bad thing is traction. Just wondering if there were reliability issues you were insinuating…

Of course there are reliability issues, it’s a high hp subaru :rofl

In terms of drivability, I was referring to the clutch. It could become annoying after awhile.
