My wifes 94 integra needs to be inspected here in a few months but i am stationed in WA state and dont wanna register it out here. Is there a way to get an inspection of sorts that will work ?

then your pretty much SOL. It’s completely illegal to inspect a vehicle without it being present at the repair facility and the inspector actually doing the inspection. If you do know somebody that will run it through for you with just the registration which could technically be done since the car doesn’t get plugged in please don’t post it up here, since people you wouldn’t want to know about something like that do check the forum from time to time.
Yea thats what i figured and ofcourse it would be keep off the radar if any such thing was even possible.
I honestly can’t see a washington state cop giving you a ticket for a NYS inspection.
Its not that im worried about…its being able to renew my registration.
Any time you register a car you do it without an inspection, that’s what the ten day inspections are all about. Why would it be any different when you renew it?
It says on the DMV website that “You cannot renew the registration if there is no DMV computer record of an inspection within the last 12 months”. So thats where the cause for concern came from.
I see. It must be more lax if you do it in person… I don’t think I’ve ever had them even mention it to me. I got to schoharie though, and they don’t really give a fuck. Good luck.

i lived in washington state for 5 years. i had NY plates on a car for 2 years out there. i NEVER had the car inspected. i didnt run a registration in the windshield either. they dont know any better.
only issue is now the DMV checks the inspection record, so if it hasnt been inspected in the 2 year time frame on the Reg. they wont let you renew it
He could just get a new registration for it though, instead of renewing. You definitely don’t need an inspection to do that, since they give you the ten day.
did you try just renewing the registration online? Not sure if the automated system would kick it back, but it would be worth a try.
if there insnt a inspection on the vehicle in the past 2 yrs d.m.v will not allow u to renew or re-register the car untill ya show proof that it has been .there not anymore lax about it in person or thru the web . new york wants there moniezzzzzz and thats all they care about .
