Need some KA-T advice

yeah… don’t do it…

lol… nah j/k

 1. one of my suppliers lists a KA application FMIC kit… i’ve never brought it up before. let me know if you want to try it

 2. while i’ve seen guys run just off an SAFC safely for a couple years you’re definitely better off with an Enthalpy ECU over JWT but something that is customized is by far the best. I’ve got no experience with nistune but some dudes say it’s good for the price. Just over build this part of your set up and keep the boost low. That will keep the Ka in 1 piece the longest.

 3. ACT or Exedy for me… SPEC used to be shyte, they say its better now but too little too late for me.
I got one more question. I took a look at my factory intake and i see a MAF senor but there’s another senor inside the filter box. What do i do with that senor?

And Thank you everyone for helping me out.
just leave it open mine is just hanging down from where the intake used to be. just make sure its secured a bit so it wont rattle on the road. i forgot what its called i think IAT sensor.

Thank you everyone for you help. For my clutch I’m going to be getting Exedy stage 2 , ECU will be enthaply and FMIC - Godspeed makes top monunt Ka24det. I will make build thread when i start.

Lol, j/k. Good luck with your build. If i had to do it again, i would’ve probably gone KA-T… or LS1

So i got my turbo and manifold and went to put it together. Looked good but the turbo doesn’t look right. I looked around and seem that all turbo are facing down or to the side but mine is facing up :S Is it post to be like that?

Btw whats the point of this little canister thing?

That’s the wastegate actuator… it’s internally wastegated. Also seems to be hooked up directly to the compressor side housing, which is convenient since you won’t have to tap into you’re IC piping to get a boost reading.

Then again, that also means it will be a pain to run a boost controller of any kind, unless that rod is adjustable, in which case you don’t need one. But it’s hard to tell by that picture.

Is the turbo sitting right those ? Is there way to take off the wastegate actuator? and plug it up or somthing

Nvm . I found the solution. I have to clock the turbo and remove the waste gate actuator and weld it shut. Going turbo is so much work

Have another question about lines and fitting. So i got a oil line kit and fuel regulator. Where can i get nice fitting, vaccum lines and braided lines. I need a shop where i can test fit the fitting since i have no clue about them? and need shop that closer to Scarborough. I will check out partsource but i want place that specialist so it will be easier for me(noob) to get it right the first time
