This winter im going to build KA-T and need some advice/options. So far i got 80% of the stuff i need or know what to get. Just need help with FMIC setup , Ecu and good clutch setup.
Fmic- Planning on buying Powered by Max high mount fmic- 400-500 or should i get the typical front mount? I’m Driving Suvfor 3 years and going to be driving my 240sx slammed for the first time. That’s why im kinda of scared of breaking the Front mount.
Ecu- I was going to get Ethaply/Jwt ecu or Aem Ems Version 1. Going to be getting Wideband and boost controller with both setup. If i do go with A
I Want a clutch that can grab min of 300ftlb and reasonable. So far i got offer from a vendor for clutch master kit for 70% torque of stock

The first clutch I bought for my ka-t was from them but unfortunatly, it was slipping, it was a stage2. I sent it back, got a full refund, great customer service.
Bully performance is really nice. I have the stage 4 clutch and it feels like a stock clutch. It’s a company in Ontario.
If you dont mind me asking. How much power were you both putting to the wheels. I’m planning putting 250rwhp maybe more power later on before i rebuild it. For the Nistune do i install the chip and drive off or do i have to install the chip and tow it to the dyno. I Emailed nistune hopefully they can explain about the ecu to me better since i near really looked into them.

Only problem i have on my s14 is the IVAC might have to be changed. Dies every time i start it but if i touch the throttle it works fine and Idle is about 900. Car was perfect before manual conversion.

i was suppose to get my car dyno tuned this year {its only street tuned right now} but i didn’t get a chance, now i just picked up some 550cc injectors so im gonna be running 300whp. right now im running 11psi on a gtir t28 turbo with fmic and sr 370cc injectors. prob making about 240whp to 250whp.
im running a hks fmic 24x12x3, im not 100% sure about the size though. the fitment was fine i just cut the lip on the re-bar and i was fine. If you want some pics lmk. and for the piping get a s13 fmic piping kit off ebay, it should fit just fine. i got s14 thinking it would be a better fitment, but these kits are made for sr’s and its in the s13’s that the throttle body has a similar angle to the ka24de throttle.

no bro i bought the s14 kit thinking it was the right one for my s14. makes sense, but in a s14 you will need s13 piping cause these pipes are for sr, and we are running ka. lots of people bought the s13 piping and it fit perfectly. but im not too sure about the whole top mount thing cause i had a bottom mount so im 100% sure it will work for bottom.
Already found JWT Ecu but i dont if i want to run JWT. I’m leaning toward enthaply since it some with two tunes and price range is about 650CDN shipped. Looking to put closer to 300 for know then after next winter i will put over 300. What is your ECU tuned for? and what other tuning electronic did you use with jwt.
btw these pics are with my old battery, now im running a bigger one. you can just cut though the battery tray. either relocate the battery or do what i did just run a smaller one. also for the cold pipe you can just use the stock location where the intake was. for that hole where the stock intake went you might have to cut it bigger. i made it bigger on mine but im also going to have to make it bigger over the winter cause the hot pipe hits it and raddles. dont have a pic of that part.
you running that holset of stock bottom end ? agreed for custom piping if you can do it yourself, buy fmic from bing. and varun(slipperysilvia) recommended me the centerforce clutch for kat
yea im going to run stock for know until i graduate from school and get a job. I did a compression test and got 165PSI on all cylinders.Varun recommended clutch master for me and told me it will hold 70% more then stock but I dont know if that will hold .
Redpotoes- I got walbru 255 fuel pump and where did you get the piping from. Should i just grab piping kit off ebay and work from there?
I got one more question. I took a look at my factory intake and i see a MAF senor but there’s another senor inside the filter box. What do i do with that senor?
