I have a 2008 2500 chevy express work van, and I wold like to lower it a bit. maybe a inch or so. The problem I am having is getting the ladder off of the ladder rack. I have to step on the rear tire and lift the ladder off the van and then step back down to the ground to finish removing it. This is not a safe thing to do in the winter. So I am looking for a lowering kit for the van. I poked around on google and am having a really tough time finding anything for the express vans.
maybe do some research to find out is the supention is the same as anything else. might be able to widen your search
lol your company is going to allow this? why not invest in a step ladder that you keep in the van? seems cheaper/easier/etc etc.
smaller tire/rim?
Who says they will find out? My solution over the last year or so has been to keep 250lbs of concrete at the back of the van. That did not drop it much though. step ladder is a no go because it will get in the way.
edit:
smaller tire/rim?
not a option. I would have to buy the tires and fleet and safety has denied my request several times when the van has needed new tires.
fuck it cut back springs a little
is it leaf suspension? take a middle leaf out
edit: it sure is! you can get drop blocks at autozone if you would rather not take a spring out
i would never spend money on a work vehicle… especially if i didnt OWN the vehicle.
get one of those folding step stools for old ladies…
