Need to rent a truck with trailer hitch.

MY girlfriend needs to trailer her horse down to Virginia for a show and is looking for a truck with hitch to rent for the weekend.

So far the only place I’ve found is Haddad’s and they’re talking around $400 for the weekend not including gas.

I will goto them if I have to but want to know if anyone else knows of places?

It’s a small 2 horse trailer, nothing crazy.

Thanks.

How about a U-haul box truck? They have hitches. A friend of mine hauled his car from pgh to philly with a u-haul truck. I have no idea what it cost him though.

Uhaul rents pickups too.

ride horses down, lazy horses

I believe Enterprise rents pickups at some locations. I know a guy who rented a Dodge 4x4 with a Cummins in it last fall. His company rented it for about 2 months. I think he told me it was from a location in Murrysville (behind Wendy’s).

Well, she doesn’t need a box truck just to drive the horses down so that’s out. And Enterprise removes the hitches so they can’t be used.

Maybe I’ll call that place in Murraysville (which sounds kinda shady, “In Murrysville behind Wendy’s” haha.)

And I should have known the pics request was coming.

In for pics.

How much does the entire rig weigh? When do you need it? I might rent out my Suburban.

he was saying use the box truck just to haul it, cuz there prob cheaper to rent then getting a truck thru haddad’s

and i would call u-haul & enterprise and tell them u need a truck with a hitch to haul a trailer

i like box

Just ratchet strap the horse down in the box truck, problem solved.

That’s right. When my buddy towed his car, the box was empty. But that was the only kind of truck he could find/rent that was able to tow.

You can lead a horse to water, but you can’t get it to Virginia.

UHaul does not let you tow anything with there pickups . They claim since they are only half ton they are not capable of towing . Thats the last that I heard. Get the box truck trow in her couch and now you have somewhere to stay .

or sell horses buy a pickup for a modern transportation …eerrrrrr wait is she amish POST PICTURES !!!
