I had a good experience as well when I attended one of these a couple years ago. Although there was this guy who came later in the day with a beat c3 vette that I wish I took some pics of. I couldnt believe he lasted as long as he did on track with it. Other than that most of the people had their shit together.

You need a helmet, but it does not have to be snell rated IIRC. Check the their website for more info. If your car is leaking fluid then you should fix that before you consider attending along with a good inspection of everything else on your car. Chances are there is other shit wrong with it that you may need to iron out, you dont want to be wasting time at the track fixing your car when you paid for track time. Im sure you can find a checklist somewhere online that goes over what to check before a track day.

I’m hoping to have my car(s) up and running for a 1st outing by the end of May. Let’s start talking about a date that might work for several people. I can’t do May 12th, but I’d be up for a Friday Fun day or a Saturday.

the chump car is getting “sold” to another guy on our team which is fine with me because I can still use it for super cheap.

I’ve had the biggest urge to sell my 328ic and drop $30-40k on some sweet daily driver… but I’m resisting because the other option is a ton of track days / racing which is probably more fun.

May 25th is Memorial Day weekend but I know I’m free that day because the wife and kid have some girl scout thing all day. I’d probably be in for that one. I think I’ve got enough pad material left on my carbotechs from last time to get a full day, or at least most of a full day in.
