Yea, Turbotrix and AEM both said we would have to send it in. It’s the AEM v1 box for Evo9. I don’t remember the model off the top of my head, it’s like 1313 or something?
The 30-1313 is the v1 box for the EVO 8.
What software did they use to lock out the AEM. I have never heard of that before.
Turbotrix put their own code on there, so now it won’t connect to the AEM software. Mark @ Turbotrix knows more, and he is going to reverse it for me.
Mark you can replace the EPROM in the EMS. I had to do it on my old AEM 30-1010 when the firmware update failed.
from my experience you can lockout the ECU with a password… but it won’t keep it from connecting. It will at least make connection, then yell at you.
Hope you get your issues solved…this is such a nice build.

IT RUNS!!!
Sounds fawking nasty! Good work.
good timesssss :)… in for numbers
got cam… this thing better go 9s
Stock came lope right ? :snky:
It def sounds nasty!
Austin found the source of the coolant leak today. Had to pull the timing cover, the timing belt, the alternator, and then the hollowed out water pump. The AN fitting welded on to it was leaking from one of two places, maybe both. It looks like there is a small crack in the weld, but more likely the cause, the sealing surface of the AN fitting had a score all around it, as well as a flat spot. Cory is going to weld on a new one tomorrow, and then we should be good for the dyno!

Looks nice… Cant wat to see her out this yr. GL
Word has it that the car is on the dyno right now :snky:
So, tonight we finally got the last of the kinks worked out to get it on the dyno:
After about maybe 15 pulls, emery had it dialed in nicely. The huge cams and large intake manifold kill the low end torque, but it REALLY shines up top. We tuned it on E85 from our local pump (at $2.69 a gallon, sweet!!). We got up to about 360 whp on the fuel pump on it’s low setting before we ran out of injector using the 1600’s. We changed the jumper on the pump to it’s high setting, and had more fuel than we knew what to do with. At the end of tonight, it’s at a safe, knock free tune in 75+ degree weather, and it makes 393 whp and around 340 ft/lb:
As a comparison, in a 200 - 300 pound heavier car last year with 358 whp, I went 11.010 @ 124.55 mph, so this car is going to boogie! I got on it leaving the shop in second gear, and it instantly nuked the tires away, and I had to get out, as it started to lose control. It’s an utter monster. I couldn’t be happier
