Netflix Delays Frequent Renters

Don’t know if anyone saw this article.

Netflix typically sends about 13 movies a month to Villanueva’s home in Warren, Michigan – down from the 18 to 22 DVDs he once received before the company’s automated system identified him as a heavy renter and began delaying his shipments to protect its profits.

I have seen this myself as I put a movie in the mail last Monday and I should be getting the next one in my queue tomorrow. 8 days later. The first couple I had were turned around in 3 days.

i read this article yesteday…my brother is feeling the effects of this…i hope i dont since i usually keep my movies for more than a day or 2

We can thank ourselves for renting, copying and returning movies within the same day. They can’t keep up with us.

They can’t afford to keep up. It is pretty shady.

Library DVD borrower for life.

I dont have netflix but i wana get it…but i have been hearing shit like this and i dont wanna now. this is seriously going to hurt their buisness.

I might have to go back to the MVP program at Hollywood Video. 3 at a time rentals. Some weeks I would go through 6 DVDs. 6x4 = 24 DVDs in a month for the $15 monthly fee. They were losing money on me. I would never rent the new releases until they came to the MVP program. Patience is the key.

i usually keep the disc for 2 days to avoid doing this

thats prolly the best idea
