nice little setup!
:rofl sweet. I think that’s funnier than tdi_logik towing his ATV with his Jetta.
do you have a custom plate? jw
Siiick, congrats on the pickup.
When are we riding?
I do.
Started to disassemble the bodywork today. How the hell do you take the tail light out?? Lol
Dedicated track bike I presume then?
I haven’t taken it out in years, but as I recall it’s not that bad.
What days and times are you available this week?
I’ve taken off the body work plenty (unfortunately) so I can definitely help out a bit.
From what I recall you have to take out all the surrounding small pins on the tail fairing and slide it off, then there will be two horizontal bolts holding in the top of the taillight with rubber grommets around it. I’ve also believe I’ve lost a grommet or two from mine :lol
I used to tow my quad with my Elantra but then I got the truck.
What is the tow rating for Elantra?
Initially I was going to get a trailer with a tail ramp, but the one that harbour freight sells is too short…
DL’d a shop manual :lol
whats the plate say? i might have seen you around…
^if you dont mind me asking…
where did you get that trailer? I want to put a tow hitch on the Golf for that exact reason… towing just the bike (doubt it could tow anything else… lol). Thats a perfect size trailer.
It’s a 40x48 trailer I got at harbor freight. Got it on sale for $179.
If you ever got one, DO NOT ground the tail lights thru the frame…rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl
did you buy the “track” with wheel chock for it separately?
How the shit did that work out?
The tow rating for the Elantra was something rediculous like 3200 pounds with trailer brakes according to Edmunds.com.
It towed the quad around just fine the few times I did it.
I believe the trailer is the same one Harbor Freight sells but I bought it used. Me and my brother put all the wood on it- the ramp is homemade out of 1x10’s with bracing on the back/bottom and triangular hingles.
Plymouth voyager FTW!
lol
LOL. Respect the van! :bowdown:bowdown
