hey everyone, i just got my second nissan. I bought a 1985 nissan 200sx with a ca18et. My first nissan was a rusted out '91 240sx. I’m happy to find this site (as well as club-s12) because ill be needing a lot of information when i do the motor swap. Nice to meet everyone!

It has the best engine in there too. CA18ET
club-s12.org is the offspring of Classic 200SX egroups which is an egroup for S10, S110, and S12. The amount of S12 owners grew to crazy amounts and a few of the early forum members started their own forum.
nah the s12 CA’s arnt really the same as the JDM ones , hardly as free revving and if some one didn’t tell you otherwise wouldn’t know its turbo’ed

… What??? Of course they’re amazing and free reving. If you want to look it up too, the Silvia RSX (Japan only) came with a CA18DET.
Yes they are free reving. It’s the same bottom end. Of course it won’t be as free reving as the same engine with more power.
S12s came with CA20E, and CA18ET in Japan as well as here. The US got a VG30E instead of the CA18ET in the last year or two of production of the S12.
The CA18ET that was offered here is the exact same as the JDM ones and is just as free reving as those.

thanx for the comments, its not quite perfect, it has some rust on the passenger side quarter panel, but ill be doing all the body work this sunday and monday,itll be a few weeks before i can upload pictures of it all painted. Ive also been mulling over the idea of an s13 headlight conversion. Here’s a few photoshopped pics:
