A fully loaded WRX Limited w/ nav costs $31,105 MSRP. You’re adding all of those stupid little accessories to get your “37k”.

Also, trying to add in interest rates on a new vehicle (which are almost always lower than rates on a used vehicle) is also a moot point considering interest rates are almost entirely credit based and turns this into an apples to watermelons comparison. Yes, watermelons, because this has been so blown out of proportion.

According to Yahoo autos, the invoice cost on the same vehicle listed above is $29,247.

Tax on that is less than $2,400. Warranty? It’s included in the price, unless you’re one of those people who purchase an extended warranty.

So out the door, you’re looking at less than $32k. So yes, you were off by thousands of dollars on your little guesstimate. You’re also comparing a fully loaded 2013MY vehicle to that of a used 1993-2001 vehicle with God knows what for options.

that navigation comes from same list as the rest of the options… or what you call accessories.

so why is a gps a option but a subaru performance exhaust a accessory? i think the carbon fiber add ons is a option too. but you think its a accessory?

if i add up the cool options/accessories subaru offers with the wrx you get over $37k think of intrest and tax then you have a $40k wrx if you choose all the options
