My father in-law just bought a brand new Harley last year, and you cant even hear it come around the corner. His old bike you could hear a mile away (which had aftermarket pipes on it), but his new one is pretty quiet. So no, they dont come from the factory like that.

So people who have loud ones order them that way or customize them after the fact?
