I won’t be there if there are burnout contests, too much can go wrong. Bad idea man.
EDIT-I don’t think that this hangout, or any hangout in general should be a place to ‘showcase’ a vehicles performance (burnouts, rev limiters, whatever). Save it for the track or home.
For a burnout contest you would need some kind of insurance and since theres houses directly behind this location I seriously doubt the town of Colonie would allow a burnout competition, especially at the time when most people go to the lot.
It took only one late-night drunken walk through of the lot last year, to figure out what “PR” ment.
If and only if there was such a contest, it would be during a weekend day show in a secure/designated area. The only late-night display of power or “lack there of” that we’ll tolerate, will be on the dyno.
Edit: On another note, doesn’t at least one of the said “PR’s” have a nice car? I’ve heard from a “ricer” family member (Red Saab w/loud BOV) that at least one has a quick all-motor civic.
well if there were a fee to hangout then you could use some of that $$ and have some grill action going on. burgers n dogs. im sure all would be down for that.
that was not my fault…it was hott and i was thirsty…its not like i was walking around with a case of beer throwing my empties all over and trashing the place
Because someone has to ask… is a small cooler of brewskis ok? I assume not, but i figured I would ask for the people who want to know too. I would rather know right off the bat then I or anyone else step on your toes.
Maybe once a month or something we could plan an event? Grill n chill one month. Strippers the next month. Something like that.
Another idea I just had, is there enough of the lot away from everyone (ie back corner or something) to run some RC cars? There are a bunch of us here with some and it could be a good time, and good times for others to watch us break $500 toys! lol
