So the g/f and I picked up yet another pet. She wanted a rabbit, I wanted a cat or a dog, so we got a little of each. He’s 9 weeks old, and his name is Ralphie. On with the pics.

he’s litter trained. he’s actuallyquite well behaved for 9 weeks believe it or not. he’s teething, so that’s tough on everyone, but we’re making it through. we use bitter apple spray and are patient with him. he goes through like 4 or 5 of those chew sticks a night. and i’m def. minus one shirt and one sock since his arrival.
edit for storytime:
the first night in his new cage he couldnt figure out how to get from 2nd floor to first for his litter box, so he backed his ass up to the corner of the cage and shit out. it was funny because we watched and the shit fell about 5 feet to the floor.

Ah yes another ferret owner. I’ve had mine since 2003. I miss him being cute and little…although he’s much more well behaved now that he’s 3 and consodered geriatric.

be prepaired to have things missing…my old girl had one and it took tons of things around the house and hid them in a secret hiding spot. Also we found enough food in the secret spot to live on for life. lol
Lol, we read that and were like, nah, no way. That’s funny. I’ll have to start hanging my keys, wallet, and phone somewhere. I’ve got to get him into a vet this week, is there any that ferret owners recommend? Keep in mind I live in kenmore…

I’m one of those bad pet owners that never takes their animals to the vet…so I wouldn’t know.
But my ferret, Spaz STEALS EVERYTHING!
There’s a pile of glass bottles on the side of the couch,
plastic bottles, a fly swatter, and a hairbrush under a drawer in the kitchen
just found a bottle of bubbles and nail polish in the drip pan under and in the back of the refridgerator and a pile of his food in a cupboard under the sink.
Hence the name, Spaz.

Oh and I believe pet shop ferrets sometimes can live about 8 years, and home bred 8-12 years.
