New on the forums

my engine lolz its already at 300780kms, i wanna keep the engine till i can afford an SR lol

exactly the vg30dett is meant for the boost just like you cant just throw the boostat a vg30de its a different engine

the 3.5 is an awesome engine award winning infact nissan has always built great v6s but yeah go vg for sure the vq will blow up

besides not for sure but doesnt the vg30dett give the 240 a 50/50 weight distribution

the only reason a 3.5 would make more power is the high compression

and the increased displacment but its not going to do it for long

VQ will blow up first just like a KA will blow up first. Neither are built for boost. They both have Cast Aluminum pistons and small, weak wrist pins.
A VG30DETT can see 800WHP and run all day on stock boosted internals where a VQ35DETT can probably run a little more than 550WHP on boosted stock internals. Its just harder and more expensive to get the VG30DETT up to 550WHP.

It’s just the evolution of the airflow pattern that makes it a better engine to boost. Don’t quote me on this, but I believe the bottom end is pretty much the same as the VG but the VQ has an all aluminum block.

a VG motorset is too heavy for a 240, its a mistake if you’re doing anything more then drag racing.

a KA-T will hold together if you get the A/F ratio right and dont get greedy with the boost. cometic headgasket and ARP headstuds are a good idea as well.

RWD SR’s are overpriced.
