Yay! Just gotta get some sticky rubber (or a proper track car) by 2011!
Yes, I read about this and when one looks into the planning and implementation steps they have gone through this isn’t just another dream project. Assuming the governments and the citizens in the area are on board this should be a go.
Too bad it isn’t being built in central Alberta.
I’m sure a lot of you would like it closer to Edmonton, but I think the location isn’t too bad. I mean, it’s relatively close to major services, but far enough away from large populations to avoid disruptions (and probably avoid some beaurocratic red tape as well).
I’ll be very curious to see if this goes through, and I agree that it looks like far more than a dream project. On the surface, at least, it looks very viable.
On a selfish note it would have been nicer to have been closer to Edmonton but I had though central alberta would have made more economic sense (assuming cost of land is the same) given that it would theoretically double the market.
But to be honest…who gives a crap. A track in Alberta with three or four hours is nothing to complain about.
Well this is good news for Calgarians as it is only about an hour or so away from us. But yeah central would have made a better option. Oh well I’m not complaining. I do hope this goes through!
