New Record HP on the dyno!

The prior record holder was a 2005 Dodge Ram with a 5.9 making 34psi and over 1110 foot lbs of torque. At that time I was still learning to use the dyno’s load controller to build boost (he made 50psi when pulling a sled). I think we can get him to 50psi now.

In any event, here’s a video of the new record pull (last pull). This tuning session lasted approximately 4 hours and netted some decent improvements.

holey balls.

that car is awesome. no engine shots?

Not much to see in the engine bay. Just a stock looking 326

Wow … That is insane!

holy crap I would never expect that.

Awesome Mike, that is unreal.

daaang. +10 point for the use of Danzig to display the evil in that machine.

x2, one hellova sleeper…

sweet baby jesus

damn… I wanna see some engine shots

that thing is sick, to bad you will only see it at the flashlight drags. he cant run at keystone with the remote rear mounted turbos.

Why not?

Last I saw it it didn’t have a cage, so it’s a moot point anyway.

going 8’s with no cage on a bench seat = not win

:supertroopers: holy mother of god :supertroopers:

man i’ll be happy to make HALF that power this year

He has a full cage in it now with aluminum race seats, window net and fire system. The car is legal to 8.5.

Not sure about Keystone but you will see the car run at places other than the Flashlight Drags! Here’s a video of some 200+mph runs at Maxton. The ECTA is far more stringent than the NHRA about safety.

Here is an engine bay pic. Not much to see…

Earl at Predator performance did the cage work. He did an absolutely awesome job. Predator will be closing their doors as of tomorrow. They are not going bankrupt but have decided to “stop the bleeding” from the parent company. It is a shame as they do really nice work.

great car, fantastic work ::speechless::

impressive.

Thanks but I had a lot of help. This car is sort of a community effort. I also can’t wait to get it on the scales to see what it weighs. Before the cage, it weighed 3810 with me in it. The cage added some weight but changing the seats removed some weight. I guess I’ll be happy if I stay under 3900lbs. If I can hook it up, it should go 8.5 at 159 but realistically, I’d be happy with 8.99. That was Turk’s original target.
