These guys are getting pretty good at running their dyno. I’ve spent a lot of time on chassis dynos the last few years and Mike has been the best so far. Not only does he have good mastery of his dyno, he is also become a great tuner. He is also good with computer technical problems as far as computer / ecu / chassis dyno communication. For only being business less than a year, their expertise is impressive.
I have been having issues with my FAST system. Mark, What do you think about converting it over to Mega Squirt.

As far horsepower goes with this car, it is really not hat hard to duplicate or that expensive. The learning curve was a little expensive but to duplicate or surpass wouldn’t be too bad. We are definitely out of turbo with this combination. It will make about 28 psi @ 5800 but drop to 26 by 6500. The two things holding us back right now is the turbo size and running throught the 3.5" dia. mufflers / tailpipes.
We did many turbo no-no’s with this car but it works okay in spite of them.
- We have three sharp 90deg bends after the turbos.
- Turbos are too far away from the engine. If turbo are going to be remote, the best place would be behind the drivers and passenger seats.
- The two intakes of the turbos are facing each other and trying to steal each other’s air. It would probably be okay if the turbos were separated form each other a few more inches but that is not possible in their present location. The tires are in the way.
I only mention this post so that nobody repeats these mistakes.
I am trying my best to get Mike @ OST to build his GTX with twin HT60s mounted behind the seats. With 440ci and his good heads, it should easily outperform my car. I think that would be cool. Let’s keep the pressure on him!
That would push that GTX right into the low 8s. That would be impressive to watch!

Rob, I’m not sure if I would give up on the FAST system just yet. But, if you do I have a couple of recommendations for MegaSquirt systems as well as a guy who can custom build one for your application.

How difficult to tune is that FAST system? i seen a few good deals on them and considered it
do megasquirt its very easy to tune and about $200
