new skins for the monte

Dammit dammit dammit, had to put new tires on the monte, 36,000 miles, Ill be turning it in in 6 months hopefully, thats what sucks. Wound up getting them at BJs for $430. I dont think I will ever lease a car for more then 3 yrs again. I leased for 4 yrs because the car my wife had, traded that in for the monte and actually knocked a year off the payments.

I think Im going back to buying.

OK

good to know.

i take it you haven’t played around too much with online financial calculators, Jerry

well kinda married into this situation, wife had a car she was backwards on and did this deal to try and better our situation, went from 5 year loan to a 4 year loan and saved $20 a month. Dont really need an online calculator for that decision!!

come Nov I can go into the dealer and do a clean deal.

What’s the point of this thread?

+1

he had to buy tires :gotme:

:picard:

Should have bought a nice used set off of of the places around here that sell them.No more then $150 installed

you bought brand new tires for a lease car that you are turning in in 6 months? that was a well thought out decision…

wat?

werd. When I had my POS pickup truck I used to go to Gem Tire (right next to swerve) to get used tires put on it. Always got a decent set and paid around 60-70 out the door. Great deal

you people are retarded sometimes, if I wanted used tires I wouldnt have bought anything. And yes it was a well thought out decision based on the fact my wife drives the car 40 miles a day and I cart my children around in the car.

Better then NOT buying new tires and getting charged DELAER prices for OEM replacements after you turn in the car.

But I’ve turned in 2 leases with tires really bald, and they didn’t say anything. Mabey because the miles were so low, like half allowed.

But if the new tires cost $430 and you are saving $20 a month for a year (totaling $240). What are you actually saving? Are they giving you a good trade in or do you just want to get rid of the Monte?

Side Note: Next time you need to buy some tires give Reids in West Seneca a call

i would never lease a car. i dont like it. my mother is leasing her saturn Vue, and her payments are kinda high lol

alright then. so what are you bitching about?

I’m bitching because It just sucks having a lease for 4 years, 3 yr lease and the car would have been gone by now and I wouldn’t have needed to buy tires now. I have 1 year left unless I can do a pull ahead in six months.

I’m am not a fan of buying used tires, every time you mount and dis mount tires you stretch the beads and compromise the integrity of the tire. like I said this is my wife’s car and we do drive the kids around in this car. It gets much better mileage then the Explorer.

If I ever do lease again it will be 3 yrs max.

Yeah I did a 4 year lease once. I got rid of it in 3 though. Payments were kind of high, but my buyout was low, and we just shopped around at dealers and actually made out +$1000 on trading in the jeep a year early.

edit: and the tires were bald on that one too…sometimes when I need new tires I just get a whole new car…
