Dammit dammit dammit, had to put new tires on the monte, 36,000 miles, Ill be turning it in in 6 months hopefully, thats what sucks. Wound up getting them at BJs for $430. I dont think I will ever lease a car for more then 3 yrs again. I leased for 4 yrs because the car my wife had, traded that in for the monte and actually knocked a year off the payments.
well kinda married into this situation, wife had a car she was backwards on and did this deal to try and better our situation, went from 5 year loan to a 4 year loan and saved $20 a month. Dont really need an online calculator for that decision!!
come Nov I can go into the dealer and do a clean deal.
werd. When I had my POS pickup truck I used to go to Gem Tire (right next to swerve) to get used tires put on it. Always got a decent set and paid around 60-70 out the door. Great deal
you people are retarded sometimes, if I wanted used tires I wouldnt have bought anything. And yes it was a well thought out decision based on the fact my wife drives the car 40 miles a day and I cart my children around in the car.
But if the new tires cost $430 and you are saving $20 a month for a year (totaling $240). What are you actually saving? Are they giving you a good trade in or do you just want to get rid of the Monte?
Side Note: Next time you need to buy some tires give Reids in West Seneca a call
I’m bitching because It just sucks having a lease for 4 years, 3 yr lease and the car would have been gone by now and I wouldn’t have needed to buy tires now. I have 1 year left unless I can do a pull ahead in six months.
I’m am not a fan of buying used tires, every time you mount and dis mount tires you stretch the beads and compromise the integrity of the tire. like I said this is my wife’s car and we do drive the kids around in this car. It gets much better mileage then the Explorer.
Yeah I did a 4 year lease once. I got rid of it in 3 though. Payments were kind of high, but my buyout was low, and we just shopped around at dealers and actually made out +$1000 on trading in the jeep a year early.
edit: and the tires were bald on that one too…sometimes when I need new tires I just get a whole new car…
