New style coilovers

MJM Autohaus Parts & Accessories and B&G Suspension would like to introduce a coilover system engineered like no other system you’ve ever seen for VW/Audi.

The new RS Line coilovers by B&G are the first coilovers on the market to utilize this kind of engineering for VW/Audi. Unlike traditional coilover kits that allow you to lower the car (at the top of the shock body) by compressing the spring (creating less shock travel), the new RS Line coilovers by B&G are adjusted at the bottom of the shock body, essentially moving the entire body of the coilover up and down, not by just compressing the spring. This technique is nothing new to the Japanese performance market, but B&G was the first to push the envelope with this design for our cars. In other words, whether you lower the car 1" or 4", the car will still ride the same. Without affecting shock travel, you could essentially slam the car up to 4" safely and still maintain a comfortable ride.

Have you ever been to a show or seen a sweet slammed dub on the street and said “Man, that looks hot!”, but you knew the owner’s Fonzi points were sacrificed at the risk of riding like a tractor? Those days are over! Who says you can’t have the best of both worlds? NOW YOU CAN! SLAM your MK2, MK3, MK4 or Rado and do it without losing your teeth!

The picture below will illustrate to give you an idea of how it’s done:

Compressing the spring = less shock travel

Less shock travel = undesirable ride quality

Undesirable ride =

  • 18 way adjustable
  • lifetime warranty
  • ride comfort
  • competively priced
  • spring rates (450F/390R)

seems pretty awesome

thats how my soon to be K-sports are

This technique is nothing new
.

threaded shock bodies. OMG, what will they think of next… maybe some sort of way to get light into our homes without using those dangerous candles!

it’s funny how they say you can SLAM it and still have a comfortable ride… Comfortable ride = soft spring rates

soft spring rate in a car with 1" of travel before the tires rub or frame scrapes = siiq dub bro, but why is there fender paint on your totally stretched tires…

Yeah, my D2 coilovers on my car now have threaded shock bodies. Check them out in the DIY section. Moved to Gen Auto.

yeah I believe my NEX coilovers are the same way …
