Just bought a 89 240 coupe…
Seems to be leaking tranny fluid but I can’t seem to find from where.
If anyone is in the Stoney Creek/Hamilton area and would like to lend a hand please PM me.
So it seems I have a busted shifter boot. Any one else have an issue with these??

I was told it could be from the short shifter and that thier are 6 holes and some could be exposed. I was told that the B&M SS will fix the leaking as well.
where in the creek/ham are you ?
Its easy to fix and the short shifter should come with a new boot so you should be good, just take the shifter boot off remove 4 bolts from the shifter plate go under the car and remove the 2 front ones whole shifter assembly comes out install reverse.
Thanks for the info but have ran into another issue… I put a bucket under the car, checked it to see coolant…wtf… It was basicly pissing off the bottom off the car, I’m not sure where it all came from. How could coolant make it to the middle of the car under the passenger
might be leaking from a heater hose behind the engine.

So cars running well but rich. I have gauges that aren’t hooked up (now I know why. Seller didn’t want any secrets out) I belive I have a exhaust leak coming from my down pipe. (I’m new to turbo set ups) Coolant leak was fixed twice… And thats where I am.
Going to see a guy in hamilton who opening a shop. He does full restoration so if anyone in the hood is looking for and expert on body modds let me know I’ll hook you up. This guy is a Five star guy.

I bought it of Corey Chabot, he worked at Mazda in Brampton. He was moving so I kinda jumped on the car. Short story.
