CVA “stalker” break action single shot 30-06 with a 3-9x32 scope. Shot it today for the first time. got 3" groupings at 100 yards. definitely has some breaking in to do. Thats what I should be at 400 yrds.

3 inch groups at 100, you have a scope jumping or an ammo issue there for sure. A .22lr can group that good. Nice gun though once its sorted out.
Yeah its brand new, and it takes a lot to break a new barrel in. I have a dime that I shot at 100 yards with a .22 mag. Once this gun is broken in it should be pretty nice. I was using Winchester Super X 150 gr rounds. Got a box of 180 gr today, so we’ll see how it does with those.
The 180 will most likely be worse. I would try a different brand of 150 gr first

edit: I had the scope on 3x zoom when I shot that. it goes up to 9x.
