New Z06 tested by Car and Driver

probably will be. the new king of streets has arrived…

they have a cool print ad that shows something like 6 or 7 super cars (ferraris and the like) the 1/4mile time and their price… then in red letters teh vettes stats. makes you proud to be american, its a bargain, but still waaaaaaaay outta my price range. too bad http://www.runemasterstudios.com/graemlins/images/nutkick.gif

ya it’ll be interesting what tuners like Callaway, Lingenfelter, Cartek etc have in store for the C6 Z. my guess is that they’ll have those things built up to destroy much more expensive exotic cars, rather easily. it’s nice to see GM step-up and deliver an ‘affordable supercar.’

I want one!

Sorry but what’s a bluedevil?

Preliminary specs say on the Bluedevil. Aluminum 7.0L Block, and heads. Different camshaft for forced induction. Forged crank, pistons, and rods. Lowered compression from 11:1 to 8.9:1. Rumored to be running 6-7psi factory. Twin screw supercharger. Just add a pulley and exhaust ;). full carbon fibre body (curb weight of ~2900lbs), shares a lot of suspension components from the C6-R.

Test mules were rated at 650hp at the crank, but were putting down 615rwhp. Which is roughly 720hp at the crank. It was supposedly given a greenlight for 2007 Production… approximately 2000 units, only available in Lemans Blue with a black striped “cowl” hood. MSRP $125,000.

It was named the Bluedevil for two reasons. 1.) To give Ford’s GT (the blue oval) a Devil on it’s shoulders. 2.) For the CEO of GM’s former alma martar.

there have been prototype bluedevils running around on the N-ring with just run flat tires, putting down times so much faster than anything else ever seen there before in the stock class.

see above post

is the bluedevil a GM car or an aftermarket car like a roush or saleen?

GM
