I’ve never had an issue, but if you have a big shop, with real machinists, you won’t be touching (and fucking up) any of their shit.
My job is awesome, I cannot imagine that it would be this lenient anywhere else.
Also, parts that have arrived:
-oil pump drive collar
-ACL calico coated bearings
-head studs
-cometic head gasket
pistons and rods will be here today.
oil pump and gasket kit shipped yesterday.
Block and crank is at klispie, scheduled to be done next Friday.

Got my parts back from the blaster:
oil pan, motor mounts balance tube, intake manifold, coolant pipe, filler neck and thermostat housing all blasted to like new condition.
That’s my fuel rail in the BG for comparison.
Fuel pump just showed up lol.
I told a guy at work what motor you were putting in this car and he shot Pepsi out of his nose.

Ordered up some fuel lines. Fuck that shit aint cheap.
it was black, in rochester, at valley cadillac. it was there getting inspected but failing for emissions reasons. the mechanic said it had a gutted cat and ranted about some emissions set up that made no sense. it sounded awesome tho.
