No pics, sorry, but I did get some more body parts with paint back. I also got the exhaust in for a test fit and started making some hangers. They are about 90% complete. Just need one more little tab on it. Once that’s done I can weld on the EVAC bung and the exhaust will be on for good. (I hope)
looking good
Got my EURO smiley in today. And my EURO grills
They look like this:
I’m probably going to SMOKE them so they look like this (just sent out a set of the crosshairs to be cut on the laser)
I also got in my wire loom, and my steering hub.
Gotta machine the hub down a bit.
If you need some of that f6 side entry wire wrap I just got a spool I ordered in 1/2" size. I got 75’ of it so im sure there will be plenty.
If someone told you those are Euro’s they lied to you. Those are USDM projectors.
Mine are smiley. They came from germany. It was just a stock pic, also got euro grills with them for 150 shipped. They’re sitting on my desk. Pretty nice.
Dude I dont think this can get much more raw than it is. Not only are you building the car from scratch but youre making parts. Amazing progress!
So I tried putting on my momo hub, then quickrelease, then sparco wheel.
It just was too long, so…
This is what the momo hub looked like before:
That raised part is for crash protection so your chest doesn’t get pierced by the steering shaft. In a caged, harnessed car, this is less of a big deal. So…
Cut of the tabs with an angle grinder and thew it in the mill:
A shot of the completed facing:
Then I drilled and tapped 6 holes and test fit the wheel onto the hub (the bolt pattern of the wheel is the same as the quick release, and it came out perfect)
The wheel is installed on my car right now, but no pics of that…
nicely done sir!
Can I pay with twenty five $1 money orders?
haha
Dan
reflectors look awesome, how do you get them inside though? bake and separate?
those discs are awesome too btw, i “brushed” one with a red scotch brite to see how it would look, next one i’m going to try to polish.
Got my euro lights smoked and installed using the above parts I laser cut!
Good news… they fit!
Also got the hangers all made for the exhaust and got it installed (i hope) for good.
I also got a TON of this shit in the mail the other day, it’s totally awesome…
It was like 70 bucks, but it’s totally gonna be worth it…
Also welded on my BOV flange and started sorting through the wiring…
This gets better and better with every progress pic:tup: I’m impressed with the attetion to detail of the little things that could so easily be skipped and overlooked.
Nice.
What is the purpose for the reflectors you made? Will that mess up the optics at all?
this may be a repost, but as an FYI… your E30 BMW build sucks…
Jesus^^
I would never want to drive that.
I would do so many burn outs with it. Why build a car to look at? I’m not a fggy artist!
yeah, i’ve seen that before… it’s insane.
That’s kinda the difference between making something in your garage in your spare time vs. having a 9-5 job that is building a car.
