Newzbin users... what's your plan B?

Because it looks like newzbin’s days are numbered.

binsearch.info is free but sucks compared to newzbin.

Yow, that sucks.

Idunno…I think my days with illegal content are numbered

Will be a sad panda if this is the end of newzbin…

I knew I should have just IM’d you instead of creating this thread.

come to the darkside, we have torrentz!!!1111!

I also have demonoid invites :stuck_out_tongue:

I think I got my demonoid invite from you actually. No way I’m abandoning usenet though. The speed and security blow aids infected torrents away.

Demonoid is clean sir.

My plan B will be whatever pops up to replace it…you know there will be something. Too many usenet nerds to go quietly and stop pirating.

Demonoid has a ratio, meaning they have a record of every byte you’ve uploaded. Demonoid gets raided, hello RIAA MPAA lawsuit letter to all the little torrent freaks.

I signed up for NZBMatrix and it looks like a winner. 600+ days retention too.

Happily saving $1000s for a while now. plus their queue feature is awesome.

edit - sorry jay, shoulda asked me earlier.

piratebay.org when you feel like torrenting. meh.
a lot of the shit comes from demonoid.

Anyway, I forgot what the fuck the name was, but that big anti-piracy confrence shit got leaked.
looks pretty bad for anyone who downloads anything.
some of it was pretty sketchy as far as using a freeware player to play copyrighted material on (like say a dvd that you own).

Was pretty fucking messed.
can dl it on piratebay.

Demonoid’s ratio system doesn’t work properly, so it’s not accurate. Also they do not store email address, or IPs.

This sucks… I just got used to newzbin.

dumb

I take it you signed up for VIP access?

First rule of Usenet is don’t talk about Usenet!

Blasphemy.

Have fun with your torrents.

I just did also, seems like a great site, i just have to learn it now, so used to newzbin.

Looks like newshosting is getting rid of the 14.95 unlimited plan, they changed it to 125Gig per month limit now, this is for new users only, if you have been a member for a while your account gets grandfathered and stays the same.

Instead of clicking on “create NZB” you click “queue NZB” and it doesn’t immediately download the NZB. Once you get a few things queued up you can download them all as one big NZB and start your download.

So far I’m really impressed with this. Found a couple movies I couldn’t find on newzbin because it was past their very short retention. Downloading one that is 528 days old right now.

I really need to get my file server back up and running. I’ve been re-running all of the CAT5 in my house and have to put up some more shelf supports before I can put my server in it’s place. This is good motivation
