Next year: cages. Who's running them?

Detachable door bars are nothing but a safety compromise. I would NEVER run them on a car I intended on doing tandem drifts with.

if I get a new shell, I am definately caging it. probably what you’re doing mark, with removable door bars. or whatever dmcc requires haha. next season is going to be wiillldddd!

We’ll be using some very unique couplers to attach the bars on Mark’s cage that will be a LOT stronger than the joints of other bolt in cages… more on that later.

Hey Guys,

I can do a cheap cage. Mig welded mild steel and can be to spec for any type of racing.

4 point - 500
6 point - 700
8 point - 850
10-+ point - 1000
I can also do wheel tubing - 200
here are some pics of my race car and Marks old silvia

I have nothing but good things to say about Adam and his dad. Two man team running shit out of a garage… they do good work.

I was trying to respect the vendors on SON by not openly posting up pricing and shit… but those are pretty standard prices. Pricing on our stuff is pretty damn close to that. Maybe a bit lower

Moral of the story is… there is enough people doing cages… no excuses why you we all can’t roll cages next year!

more people get cages the ontario drift scene will grow, and grow BIG

how uncomfortable or how much does having a cage get in the way…what cage would you guys recommend for the most practicality as a dd

I’ve been trying to find some good designs for removable door bars also - what are these joints you are talking about Brendan?

Nah hard parking is cooler :stuck_out_tongue:

I would like to cage my car with a simple 6 point.and still use it as a street car…because when drifting sometimes i feel like i need a cage…in tandem drifts for example. when both cars in front and behind you have cages. lol

anyone been to CSC Racing in Newmarket for there cage?

i am very uneducated about cage pricing and metal…ive heard anywhere from $1500 to $3500 for an installed roll cage…is this even right?

pictures of your work and welds?

photos of the cage on marks car can be found on the union auto club blog. check it!

i was talking to a buddy last night and he has a chromoly cage that he has had sitting around for a while that he had in his old 89 z24 and we have been talking about putting it into my 240 and him making it fit but we are still talking about it…its not fosure yet…

You shouldn’t be caging your DD.

that sounds high, they quoted me about 800 for a 4pt welded in, now if u strip ur interior and do a bit of prep work urself u will obviously save some on labour, i went with a bolt in cage tho…

Once my software, bender, and notcher arrive… (Should be in this month)

I’ll be doing my own cage. May do a few for people who are serious and aren’t douche fags…
And I only TIG…

nothing better than a caged s13, fast or not, makes all thoses honda guys piss there pants scared lol
i want a 8pt with door bars how much? in a s13 silvia
