lets say he wins us 6 shootouts. that’s 6 GAMES he wins us. Dude is almost a guarantee on shootouts. One of the best in the NHL.

who says we wouldn’t resign him? 2.5 mil isn’t a ton of money, and he could maybe even catch a pay cut. Instead we give Connolly a 1.5mil a year raise. His bitch ass wouldn’t take an extension of what he was already getting considering how few games he played for us? BS. Makes him look like quite the douche. However we fucked ourselves, because Connolly isn’t going to resign for less than what Roy makes, so I guess we already f’ed ourself last year. And that was just management trying to cover their ass from fucking up the previous year. I do think connolly is a great player though and hope he stays healthy and pays off

But who’s to say someone else wouldn’t have scored in his place in the SO? It’s obviously something we’ll never know. But since I’m rolling the “what ifs” around, I’ll throw this out there. Maybe without Kotalik they could have won those games in regulation and not have even needed him in the shootout.
Idk, he is $$$ in the SO, but he’s never been a game breaker, and I’d rather have an all around type of player when trying to get into the playoffs than a guy who contributes very little to the makeup of this team.
He is lazy alot of the time, but I think with a little more ice time and more encouragement from our coaching to use his shot and not pass as much, he could have been much more effective outside the shoot outs.
Oh well its done and over with, on a side note did moore have enough sticks with him when he arrived lol? he couldnt even carry them all by himself haha.

Kotalik has size, a wicked shot, great speed for his size, but for some reason could never put it all together to become a great NHL hockey player.
but my thought is that the coaching staff as a whole ,need the most work… look at half out team right now… talented good shooting players but they dont fucking shoot the puck enough … they pass. Theres obviously something going on with our coaches, they cant be stressing it enough otherwise youd see better shots from the point lately.
