Niagara Meet - Date discussion

so gents,

when would you guys like to schedule the Niagara meet to kick the year off in style?

i am thinking perhaps a saturday would be better for a bigger turnout, but there is more to do on a sunday because of all the cars that come out in niagara on sunday evenings.

first weekend in may okay for most people?

exams will be done.

buffet dinnner / meet & greet / Swap Meet

i will raffle off some boxes of candy if i have some left and perhaps we cna come up with a few other activities.

after dinner on a sunday there is the HUGE cruise night in niagara falls with all the hot rods and imports.

then there is all the wonderful Niagara strip clubs, casinos, clifton hill, and of course the falls.

the meet is less than 15 minutes away from the Canadian Horseshoe falls.

soooo sunday or saturday

April 30 - saturday
May 1 - sunday
May 7 - saturday
May 8 - sunday

or other?

I’m down, chicken balls and honey garlic ribs, spring rolls? word up. I may even bring ‘uniac is father’, you never know. But I’m down, soon is good, mmmm, cozy resturant.

I dunno, no personal preference, sat/sun, but may 30/ap 1 is good.

would you prefer a saturday or sunday?

sunday it better for activities, but saturday may be better for turnout.

it would go down around 4-4:30, eat around 6pm, do whatever else around 7:30pm.

the restaurant is on one of the main streets in St. Catharines less than a minute off the QEW.

If the meet is earlier it might be fun to go for a cruise…i love driving along the river when the weather is nice.

i think eather of the sundays are good but have the dinner a little earler just so people that have to work early can still chill for a while

I won’t be able to make it unless someone gives me a lift. My car won’t be running. But if I was going, saturday would be best…since I work on monday I can’t stay late on sunday evening.

Rides can usually be arranged.

Im down for either days. Im sure there will be other people out in their cars saturday as well.

But that sunday cruise sounds good. And for the people that have to work, Im sure you could leave by 11 or so and still get a good nights rest. Just have a nap after work :smiley:

Saturday here too. But since it’s so early in the summer, I’ll show up pushing n/a KA :wink:

Sunday would work out if you held this during the May 24 weekend. It also seems that people tend to bring there cars out of storage by that weekend and we should all have our 240’s :smiley: .

The other good thing is Monday is a holiday so it would’nt matter how late some of us stayed Sunday night.

If it can’t be then, I’d have to say Saturday.

Sundays are my only days off. For me it would have to be on a Sunday. As for the date the later the better Im planning on putting my car on the road during the first week of May I might have to hold off till Mid or late MAY so for me the later the better and it would have to be on a SUNDAY.

sunday is good for me because i know i wont be working 100%
