according to super street he built both the cars himself. I dont know if that is 100% true but at the time that issue of super street came out he was 15 so i highly doubt he used his own money. Although the show was on then so maybe he was gettin some decent cash from that
That would be super awesome to hear if its true!
he drives a race viper at work almost daily so he knows how a high HP car works, this is gonna prob come down to plain stupidity
Or other factors that couldn’t have been avoided. If 2 douchebags on here are r.racing at 130 and you blast over a decently large pot hole, who knows where you’ll end up.

Super street is retarded, they sent both those cars out to shops to get them built. I could dig up the info but I dont feel like it. Nick frequently posts up on supraforums, there were threads about picking
each car up from the builders.

Anyway its just a bad situation, and it sounds like the passenger’s
condition is exceptionally bad.

17 is a little young to be hot roddin in a fast supra. You guys ever see that supra video with Hogan in it?? Where he is driving the green one, and his son is sitting gun as he mashes it to spin the tires at 60. Hes just trying to be like daddy…

HAHAH!

The kid is just a typical retarted rich boy. The daughter is actually trying to make a career, granted she got a boost being the hulksters daughter but either way, shes working at it.

The kid does nothing on the show, sits around and acts like a bad ass. They even said that his “love” for cars. Anyone with a love for cars and supposedly put time and effort to build a rare car such as a Supra would be a little more responsible IMO.

Also, +1 for just because you have a license doesn’t mean you can hop right behind the wheel of a car and expect to be great. A normal liscense or a race liscense, you need expierence.

I gotta agree, the majority of us would have wrecked a 900 HP car had we had unrestricted access to it at 17. 90 HP Tercel FTW!

Honestly im sure most of the people on here would wreck a 900hp Supra on the street if they were fucking around…

All it takes is some water, gravel, pot hole when your on the gas and good night
So I was curious and threw his name into youtube, and got these, for anyone that would like to see him in action:

Crash during Formula D qualifying:

Several crashes at Nopi during the same event:
That kind of shit happens when you drift, you gotta pay to play…

I know I’ll probably get flamed for this but this is just like the Evo Crash thread with people being on their high horse, thinking their better than others.

Oh nooo high speeds were involved, a bunch of you roll race on the street and I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again, I guarantee the majority of you have gone over a 100mph in a car or on a bike on a public road during your driving careers, so saying nick hogan’s a retard for driving fast is hypocrisy at it’s finest.

Granted the kid is on the young side, but I love how anyone who wrecks is automatically a retard on most automotive forums. I’d also like to include the fact that some of you act like you wouldn’t take advantage of

His car list
1997 green Supra 911hp
1998 yellow TRD widebody Supra 700hp
1995 240sx 450hp -personal drift car
2003 silver viper -personal drift car
2006 yellow/black viper -daily driver

If I was 17 and had those cars listed you can be sure as hell I would take advantage of that shit, fuck other people and what they think.

All in all though, shit happens he’s lucky he’s not dead and even though the passenger isn’t in very good shape at least he’s not dead either…

I think that’s the point. A smart parent doesn’t give their 17 year old wanna be racer access to any of those cars for the street. But he’s a celebrity, he has to have something flashy and fast. Worked out real well for him too.

Meh they had those Supra’s long before that TV show. He likes cars just like the rest of us, if you/parents have the money to buy stuff such as what they have than I know I would definitely do it. Would you honestly let other people’s opinions get in the way of what you want to buy/do in life?

My point was people have brought up the same thing you just said in previous posts, oh well its not a good idea to give a 17 year old a powerful car like that, well correct me if I’m wrong but the majority of us are older than him and we still like to push our cars, and it may not always be in a safe closed enviroment (thats why I gave roll racing example).

Even though we are older, it’s not like shit still can’t still go wrong. It seems to me there are plenty of examples on other forums/videos where people were roll racing and flew off the highway and wrecked, shit happens…

Yes. I have money, and I’ll probably have a lot more by the time my 5 month old daughter needs her first car. Regardless of what’s “cool”, what she wants, or what I can afford, she’s not getting a 900 HP car at 17. Look at the accident stats for 16-18 year old kids. Giving one a 900 HP car is about as smart as handing a pair of loaded guns to your 10 year old and his buddy and telling them to go play cops and robbers in the back yard.

Not talking smack about trust fund babies. Talking smack about people who don’t respect what has been given to them, which is unfortunately a lot of times trust fund babies.

And for the record, the only car my parents ever bought me was a $700 Geo Tracker when I turned 18. The p-car and the e30 are all my own hard earned money, with the receipts to prove it. My parents haven’t paid for anything of mine since I moved out and went to college. But…you obviously know everything about my life since you made such assumptions.

Yeah that’s your choice as a parent, wasn’t really the point I was trying to make though.

I know all about the accident stats with 16-18 year old kids, I mean just about every girl I’ve known so far has been in at least once accident.

Nick is not your typical run of the mill 17 year old teenage driver. What 17 year old kid do you know that participates in Formula D events etc. Of course some will say well that doesn’t mean shit, well I bet he understands more about driving aspects/ has more experience than most teenage kids out there do that’s for sure…

Just because you have a faster car at a younger age does not automatically mean your going to be an assclown and wreck immediatly though. I mean you met me at Dunnville and I think we chated about your GTO and my brakes. I’ve had my fbody since I was that age and I’m fine.

I know personally I think hes an idiot because he should know his limits. Im a good driver on the road in my 2.2L FWD car and have some hairy situations that my experience has gotten me out of but if I just jumped into a track car or any other high horsepower RWD sports car, I know that it would be like im driving all over again and I would need time to learn to handle it. Even tho I have been driving for 7 years (which is little compared to some people on here), a new car needs to be felt out and learned before you can drive it like your in Fast and the Furious.

Witness: Hulk Hogan’s Son Was Racing Another Car Before Crash
POSTED: 12:34 pm EDT August 29, 2007
UPDATED: 1:20 pm EDT August 29, 2007

CLEARWATER, Fla. – A woman said Hulk Hogan’s son was racing another car moments before he lost control and crashed into a tree, critically injuring his passenger.

Frances Vitalis, a registered nurse from Plant City, said she saw 17-year-old Nick Bollea’s Toyota Supra smash into a median and spin into a palm tree Sunday night. She said the Supra and Dodge Viper were revving their engines and racing between traffic signals before the crash.
“We knew something was going to happen,” said Vitalis, who was riding a motorcycle with a friend behind the cars. “You know that this is a bad situation and these guys are hotdogging.”
Bollea’s attorney, J. Kevin Hayslett, declined to comment.
Clearwater police spokesman Wayne Shelor also declined to comment on the witness accounts, citing an ongoing investigation. He said detectives have talked to “a number of eyewitnesses.” Police so far have said only that excessive speed contributed to the crash.
Shelor issued a statement Wednesday afternoon noting that Hulk Hogan “was NOT driving a car beside or near the one his son, Nick, was driving when it crashed.” Shelor said Hogan arrived at the scene minutes after the crash.
Meanwhile, Bollea’s passenger, 22-year-old John J. Graziano of Dunedin, remained in critical condition at Bayfront Medical Center, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Bollea appears on VH1’s “Hogan Knows Best” with his professional wrestler-father, his mother and sister.

I think we can stop right there. He was racing a Viper, wrecked, and almost killed his passenger who will probably never be right again even if he does survive. The arguments about how responsible and well trained he is for handling the Supra are over.

Yep, we did meet. While not every young kid with a powerful first car is going to wreck there is a reason why the insurance company charges an astronomical rate to insure such a car and driver combination. It’s because the chances of a wreck happening go up exponentially when you combine inexperience, the “invincibility of youth”, and a powerful car. And while your fbody seemed like a nice ride it’s hardly a 900 hp Supra and probably wasn’t all that fast stock when you first got it.

why do people call him Nick Hogan?
