Just put the engine back together (RB25DET). plugged the battery in and turned the key. it ran for about 6 seconds then “SREEECH” followed by it stalling. it wont start up again either engine just cranks continuously no problem. i tried starting it with the throttle open but flames came out of it! so i know i have spark and fuel hahaha.
so what do you think?
Bent/stuck valves ?
or off timing?
Yes oil
Timing belt is new (no chain)
had all the markings align as per the fsm has but I might have turned a gear off slightly when installing the belt
ive done a compression test on one cylinder and made a judgment call off that because the engine cranks at a continuous speed
Not familiar with rb, but my first thought is that something isnt right with timing belt setup, maybe your cams are off vs the crank. You should get compression if the valves are opening and closing at the right time. Check all the cylinders for compression. you are positive the piston was tdc for cylinder 1 when you put the belt on?
Wish i could help more, but that’s all i’m coming up with.
If you still cant come up with an answer, maybe its time to get your car to riworx. Mine is there now, they figured out that 1 coilpack was bad. Now its running perfect.
