Lol, I’m just blown away by Buffalo cops.
Last Friday I was stranded under an overpass with my bike in complete downpour (motor blown) and 5 cops roll by. Not one asks if I need any help.
Whenever I get pulled over it’s always super uneventful.
I have gotten nailed twice now in my Jeep SRT, both by state troopers on the 290. There is no way to fight them… 50$ ticket, 85$ service charge. Highway robbery, literally. I dont put them on as a matter of principle. Its a fucking bullshit law and everyone knows it- but it brings a few bucks into the corrupt government coffers, so it will never go away. The sooner I buy a house in FL and re-register, the better.
However, given that I haven’t had a front plate on my Viper since 2002, and haven’t had a front plate on my jeep since 2008, 2 tickets, both this summer, isnt bad. Gee whiz, you think the “powers that be” told cops to start writing any and all easy bullshit they can?

my favorite is when troopers stand at the toll booths to write tickets, like when i got one a few weeks ago when my inspection was up by 1 day. real solid police work.
I see this a lot but I just smile and roll through the EZ Pass lane. 
I got a ticket in tonawanda for 40 in a 30 (the cop said he was giving me a break and not writing me inspection so instead gave me a speeding ticket because “those inspections tickets can be expensive” , then got a ticket later that day for inspection in cheektowaga, a few days later got a ticket for a headlight out in cheektowaga but the guy was super cool and gave me the forms to mail it in I don’t even have to go (fix it ticket).
I think my SHO has that PULL ME OVER vibe because the shitty dynomax exhaust pipe has a big rott hole in it. I launched my touareg with a cop behind me and he didn’t even care. Probably because it does not make any noise lol. So the state is getting a few hundred bucks from me this month.
this is a lie. my friend was pulled over 3 or 4 times in the same day for expired inspection, and issued a ticket everytime.

getting pulled over for no front plate is like getting pulled over for doing 5 over… its just not necessary

But if you need to drive your wheels to get places and pick up some honeys… I guess it’s what has to be done.
Cops can do whatever the fuck they want, we all know that.
There’s not a whole lot we can do about it.
If they want to be a dick and write tickets for random shit instead of doing real police work… they can.
Just don’t complain when they decide to write you a BS ticket, since you are doing something illegal after all.
Maybe the cop is new, and just getting the hang of pulling people over writting whatever ticket he can before he moves on to real work.
Or maybe he pissed off his CO and got stuck on shit duty (parking tickets, stupid bs crap)… Which will equate to a pissed off cop that is doing a job that he doesn’t want to do, because his CO is a fucktard.
Easiest way to prevent it is to not do stupid easily avoidable shit.

So a cop that writes tickets, Wich is part of his job. Is not real police work. I disagree. If it is part of his job, it is real police work. Do you know how many traffic stops turn into arrests. Pull bad guys off the street. Hmm sounds like police work to me.
This is why I rarely venture out of the southtowns and rural areas in anything other than my vanilla Jeep that’s completely legal. Nobody really bothers me around here. Loud exhausts, missing front plates, 10-day stickers so old they’re peeling off the window… My Jetta hasn’t had a front plate since 2001 and it’s loud. Also, my step dad finally got new plates, since his front plate has been missing since about 2002. Never once pulled over, because they don’t really harass old guys in Rangers. Simple profiling at it’s best.

I plead guilty to a plate related ticket in arcade this year…the surcharge is what gets ya. $80 on top of a $60 ticket.

I just got one too, luckily in tonawanda
so my options are pay over $100 to make it go away or waste a bunch of my time and maybe get it dropped, maybe pay somewhere around 60 for it
