No more donks in Cincy!

Hey guys, was just wondering if I should worry about this law invading the rest of the car moding community? Im not sure and no ones really mentioned that concern in this thread.

Signed, redundancy

They will probably add some stipulation like 2" or more, greater than stock, is illegal. I do think the “donks” look completely unsafe, mainly the stupid tall ones.

there are laws for how much you can lift/lower cars/trucks in NYS also

In NYS I believe its no bodyline can be below the lowest spot of your rim. Solution, lower profile tires!

Lower profile tires would lower the car as a whole and would offer no help to you if your body panels are already lower than your rim, however a bigger wheel with lower profile tires would help.

some part of the front and rear bumpers must be 16 to 20" off of the ground in NY

id love to see where they have a list of every single car and sizes and models or every single possible rim written down as “safe” or “unsafe” and a range of diameters, widths, offsets and tire specs. what a crock of shit law.

it already is a law in new york , its just rarely enforced . read the inspection guiedlines .

where?

there is so many updates man , its in our d.m.v "bible "lolol ill bring it home and post up the crp . there is so mny inspection laws that are such b-s and stuff that should be on there isnt . like did ya know that i cant fail ya if your ball joint is falling out ? yeah a blown out balljoint is not failable on a inspection lol

Equipment required for passenger vehicles (http://www.nydmv.state.ny.us/forms/mv529.pdf

BUMPERS
On the front and rear, each must be securely fastened with some part of the bumper located between 16” and 20”
above the ground. The bumpers provide protection against damage affecting front or rear external lamps, body parts,
and vehicle occupants during low-speed impacts. This provision does not apply to a vehicle registered as an
historical vehicle.

Dere.

always found that stupid

some serious bullshit laws on there, eh? how do ppl pass when their entire car is just falling apart from rust and the holes are so big and extensive you can see the interior. it just looks like a block of cheese that was attacked by hungry rodents, but its completely legal to drive and lose parts on highways for us to hit. :retardclap:retardclap

as long as the frame is good i cant do anything about rusty panels lolol unless lights are held on by the panel that is gone lol

Ah yes the classic - avoid the parts flying at you from rusted cars game.

You really are going to complain there aren’t enough laws? :facepalm

Go further North in states and you won’t pass for rust at all.

Then have fun finding a cheap winter beater.

im not, but i’d love to not hit flying hunks of car as well as the other motorists

im not complaining at all , but i think they should be restructered to the times though . when i lived in vt and had my old truck i went to have it inspected and it failed cause of a rot hole in the rocker panel lolol i thought the guy was fuckin wit me

And how often does that happen to you? When was the last time? The time before that?

You get hit by rocks and salt on daily basis than you’ve ever had an issue with “parts falling off cars”

No law against it, and it’s perfectly fine. Plenty of laws out there already.

Make it legal to remove the airbag if you have a 5 point harness in it’s place. That’s really the only law I’d like gone right now. Stupid ass airbags.

Who wants to inspect my car with no horn/airbag for me? Kthx.

Seriously! The chance of that happening is so slim. Vot you need to pull your head out of your ass sometimes and think about the questions your asking.
