Nope, the stabilizer bar hugs the tranny tunnel pretty closely and is bolted/bushing’d at both ends…if you bent that, you just might be wrapped around a telephone pole.

Is it at all possible that the bitch-pin connection on the actual change rod is toast? Even though the pin is present, the hole in both the tranny input and the change rod ovalize over time…making for excessive slop in the linkage. It gets commonly misdiagnosed as bushing slop, but doesn’t go away with new poly bushings. No real way to know for sure unless you replace the change rod, and buy a new bitch pin.
