no turn signal

So sometime between parking my truck yesterday and making my first left turn this morning the front turn signal on my F150 no longer works.

I thought it was just a bulb so I bought a 2 pack of them at Kmart after work and tried them. Neither one worked and neither did the good one from the right side.

The rear blinks fast (like it would if the front bulb was out) but works.

The front bulb works on the parking lights and hazards. Both filaments are working.

I dont see anything wrong and the wiring is unaltered (foglights just go to the battery).

Theres not a fuse for just the right front turn signal and the turn signal relay also controls a few other things so I doubt its bad.

What should I look at/what could be the issue?

take bulb out, use multi meter and make sure the socket has power when you select left signal on the stalk.

I havent tried that yet. I tried fixing it in the Kmart parking lot and failed.

the other side works and the hazards work ?

yeah, everything but the turn signal on the front left

what bulb is it < 3157 ???

yeah

check and see if ya wiggle the bulb or press it in further and it works .

I tried that. I even tried flipping the bulb over and nothing worked. I think its strange how it worked when I parked the truck yesterday and didnt work this morning.

This. Check that and go from there. If there is no power, we will help you figure out if it’s a bad ground, 12+ or both.

Sounds like a problem with the entire truck itself.

chem trails caused it.

I couldnt seem to get an accurate reading on my meter. The voltage was all over the place.

I swapped the entire socket from the right side over to the left and still the same issue. The socket that was on the left works on the right but not the other way around.

Fail. I guess Ill just have to take it somewhere at this point because I dont know wtf Im doing and my hands are all scraped and cut up from fucking with it.

Get a schematic and find out where that nagger harness runs to.

not like Im gonna fuck with wires. Ill let somebody else do that. Ill end up fucking it up worse than it already is.

It could be the selector itself, especially if it works with the hazards.

doubt it seeing as the rear on the same side works . im wondering if the module for it went bad , unf ya need a scanner to see if the module is getting a signal

sounds like this is gonna get expensive. There goes the over time check I got today and was trying to save.

Its acting like a bad bulb but there isnt one. I even swapped taillight bulbs for the hell of it but that didnt change anything either.

Totally missed that part.

its prolly the wiring that was damaged when they rebuilt the front end of your truck

oooopppps nevermind i sold ya that truck lol
