Noise coming from coilover

Installed KW V2 coilovers on my MKVI GTi recently with the help of a friend.

Since day 1 there has been a popping/binding noise coming from the front passenger side. This noise is apparent only when turning the wheel, stationary and at lower speeds. Car does not pull in any direction and there is nothing to note as far as any driving issues.

I went back through every bolt and everything is tight. Double checked the strut mounts and they are oriented properly.

Any ideas?

Strut bearing.

Do these have a curved/concave washer under the strut bearing? if yes then make sure its facing the correct way or the bearing will bind.
