Hey Mengs - im looking to get some Work Emotion CR KAI wheels - 18x9.5 all the way around for my kouki -
the offsets i see are +12 +20 +30 +38
in the 9.5 size its the most concave which i like, but i dont know what offset is best ? i will have z32 brakes in the front and rear and more than likely stock body with a slight fender roll in the rear -
What size tires will also dictate what offset you need. I am running a 17x9 +27 with a 5mm spacer with 255/40/17 tires and it just clears the front coil, lots of room in the rear. This is on a S14.
for tires i dont know what the best size is on a 9.5 rim… i want a little bit of stretch, but not something overly crazy but still something that looks evil… something liiiiiiike…
his tires are 245… they dont look too too bad… i want something in the middle of that stretch
EDIT: you know what… im more looking toward the first pic… the more i look at it the more i want that look… is that drift able tho ? with out causing crazy damage ? for 5 years ive basically just drifted 350z wheels with stock tires and the oem 16’s … so i dont know how dangerous it is to slide a stretched tire like that…
well with a 235-245 on a 9.5, only time anything horrible can happen is if your tire pops or something, and your rim gets scraped or worse. Lots of guys run that stretched look, and i haven’t seen nothing happen, on the track at drift events that is. On the street is different story. Pot holes could do horrible things to your rim.
thats good to hear, yeah i will have to watch my self on the street, i dont do much distance driving or go anywhere i havent been… so i should be okay…
would a 225/40 be to drastic on a 9.5, i have no idea… anyone who has pictures of there set up and specs - post your stuff ?
