Nope, it does put you into a higher class but if your just going out to get your feet wet don’t worry about it. Go for the fun factor and to test your car out. The NHSCC school on the 5th won’t have any classing, but the 6th will be a normal event with classes. Classing isn’t a big deal I can help anyone figure out where they need to go.
The important things to remember are to make sure the car is inspected (since NP is public property all of the cars must be inspected, at places like beaverun this doesn’t matter). That there isn’t anything questionable (leaks, smokes a ton, sticks instead of moving smoothly, etc) in your engine bay. Make sure your battery is really secure, there is going to be alot of force on it and the tighter its secured the better. And finally your licence & a helmet if you have one.
