Not to be eerie... (Death related.)

But…
How old are you?
And how many FRIENDS (relatively your age, not family members) have you had pass away already?

I’m 18, and my 4th friend died yesterday. Car accident. I’m devastated.

And I got to thinking, is this average? Seriously.

i’m 22, and haven’t lost any friends around my age (knocking on wood right now…)

Sorry to hear Dawn, shitty stuff…weak sauce…

I’d say you’re out of the norm. None of my friends have passed. I suspect I’ll be the first of a group of 4 of us that grew up together. I just have to much fun.

  1. lost my best friend when i was 21, he crashed his iroc. it fucking tore me into a million pieces and definitely brought about a huge change in how i looked at life and how i live my life.

sorry to hear about your friend.

Sorry to hear that.

  1. 1 close one, first time on an r6 about 1/8th mile down the road swerved to miss a dog and well… you get the idea.

21, have lost 2 friends one closer than the other. Another friend of mine has already had open heart surgery and 2 strokes. And my best friend, more like a brother to me is going through liver failure right now and it’s not looking good.

Liver failure? Damn. Is it from drinking? I have a “bad” liver, it really sucks.

Damn, that really sucks. Lucky so far I suppose though my mind has been on stuff like this a lot recently.

23 and lost a friend 3 years ago to a bad car accident

26 and haven’t lost any. lots of vehicle related deaths in this thread :frowning:

24, lost a close friend on dec 14th, 2005 drunk driving… :frowning:

Does it make it worse that 3/4 of my friends died in car accidents?

I will never forget the phone call I got at 5am that morning :frowning:

I am 24.

I have lost about 10 friends since I have left high school.

One of my best friends, John Hales to a car accident…which I was told was suicide. I gave a eulogy at his funeral. He was a great guy.

im 20 and a friend i had known since like 2nd grade died in a car accident 2 falls ago(the fall i graduated)

he fell asleep at the wheel and went through a T intersection. only reason it was an open casket was because of his tints. his seat belt was buckled at the time of the accident and he ended up in a ball on the passenger floor.

HOWEVER-- his older sister’s two best friends, a young man and woman(both in my older brother’s graduating class) both died consecutively their senior years in separate accidents. devastated my school, they were both star athletes/most popular people in school.

the young man was dwi and crossed the median and hit a family of 4(of whom i would end up graduating with the only surviving member of the family at a different school{weird}) people head on. 3 died. he did as well.

the young lady did not turn when the road turned and hit a tree head on.

ALWAYS BE PAYING ATTENTION WHEN YOU ARE DRIVING, ANYTIME INCLUDING AT LATE AT NIGHT.

and, yes, i do have a DWAI under my belt and i can tell you right now, i didnt hurt anyone but myself(not literally). BUT SERIOUSLY. DONT DO IT. my best advice. DO NOT DRIVE A CAR WITH EVEN 3 BEERS in your system(i mean 3 beers in like 15 minutes and driving 5 minutes later). it is not worth it in any way. - court fees/lawyer fees/class fees/license fees=fuk’d

its not worth it. call a cab or get a designated driver.

^^ lol sorry. long post, had a lot to say.

i can also say i have changed my lifestyles A LOT and have not even touched a drink and/or even RIDDEN in a car, let alone drive(esp. considering im underage for a few more months)

so, i guess what im trying to say is you have to see how this stuff in life affects you and shapes your life. do not let things go lightly. there is seriously reason for everything and as long as you life your life humbled and content and aware of life itself than you will live/learn through the harsh realities of life on earth with a respect for all that life brings with it.

cliffnotes: be humble/tread lightly:D

6, and 5 of them were car related.

the one that tore me apart the most was rob carr. such an awesome kid. I cant even begin to describe how fucking rad the kid was. he was straight edge and got killed by a drunk driver. fuck

i remember that, that was a horrible wake. my friend nick died last year at 22.
