does anyone else have problems getting channel 4 through HD antenna? all the other stations come in 720p signal via hd antenna (2,3,6,7 and a few more), but channel 4’s over air signal seems to suck badly.

I have been getting all of the locals OTA with great signal strength for over 1yr now… by using ~$30 worth of antennae.

BTW - it is 1080i OTA, not 720p.

Alright then. I’m guessing TWC isn’t going to give us a discount for decreasing their service, so I’m calling Verizon today. FIOS TV here I come. :tup:

They’ve been in Tonawanda for a while, but I don’t watch TV much and the price is a wash, so I haven’t found any motivation to switch yet.

I think they provide you with everything you need. I’ve heard FIOS is awesome for TV although I know nobody that actually lives in an area where the service is offered yet. I plan on looking into it when they come into my area.

The owners of Channel 4 filed a petition with the FCC today that would prevent Time Warner Cable from showing Sunday’s Buffalo Bills game with Arizona to much of Western New York through the CBS affiliate in Rochester, a TWC spokesman said today.

Now that there is some bullshit. Now i will have to go to the bar like 3 hours early since every asshole in buffalo will be out to see the game!

Wouldn’t you rather save money?? If installed properly, dish rarely goes out. Snow is not really a problem either. Maybe once a winter for me.

By Sunday is not likely, unless you wanted to pay extra to have the receivers overnighted to your house. And it will be a full free Standard DirecTV Professional Installation.

That’s also an option. Just go grab bunny ears from Home Depot, return after the game. Wait for Time Warner to reach agreement.
