The HDs will return soon.
I liked the channel 4 pres “TW currently pays other stations more and per people telling me, they don’t even watch them”
roflmao, good one

No WIVB here. Just a blue screen. I just got this email now:
Dear Valued Time Warner Cable Customer;
Our agreement with LIN TV Corporation to be able to carry WIVB and WNLO has expired. We are no longer able to legally provide LIN Corporation’s channels without their permission. We have asked for an extension of our former agreement, but LIN has refused, choosing instead to inconvenience thousands of viewers, in an attempt to generate new revenue for their company. Time Warner Cable is continuing to reach out to LIN TV Corporation to get relief for our customers.
In the meantime, Time Warner Cable wants to help as many customers as possible to continue getting WIVB and WNLO.
Call 1.866.664.2793 to find out how you can get an antenna and A/B switch to continue receiving WIVB and WNLO free of charge. Supplies are limited.
too piss you off cockboy.
Not trying to hump, hell i had all my family members on dish after i had dish installed… Just trying to set a few facts straight… I’d imagine if i knew nothing i’d be saying twc sucks and they should just do whatever to get 4 back, but they are trying to not raise the rates.
channel 4 gets most of their money from ads, which are based on how many subs they have, which TW helps quite a bit, 4 doesn’t care if its dish, fios or whoever fucking passes it to a sub, they just want the #s and figure they’ll get them either way.
If you want a free antenna call TWC…

tw has msg in hd for sabres games > *
Wow, I never thought I’d see it get to the point where they took the channel off the air.
I know, i figure they would pull what they did with FOX and just wait til the very last minute to say they reached an agreement.
Great, so what bars have the NFL Network in the area?
id like to extend my middle finger to you WIVB, and to you WNLO.
What happened? :gotme:
Yea its a shitty move by the networks, but thats biz. Not really TWCs fault, again, its biz. meh.
You’re more then welcome to come watch it at my place. HD OTA
Lets see… As quoted, 4 is obviously not smart, lmao.
As quoted, TWC has now lost it’s first broadcaster.
This isn’t division too, TWC around the USA… Channel 4 says they are not greedy? Yea…
They did pull the same thing as fox did, but fox came down in price… fox > any local station.
Since you’re such a knowledgable insider… how much advertising income is LIN going to lose per day?
You can still watch Channel 4 without using Time Warner.
One way is to connect an over-the-air antenna to the back of your TV.
You can disconnect the cable, remove it, and then connect the aerial. A set-top antenna is all you need in most areas.
Other viewers may switch to DISH or DirecTV, and a growing number can take advantage of the new Verizon FIOS, a fiber optic service offering one line including phone, television and high speed Internet. You can call Verizon to find out when it’s available in your neighborhood.
For more information about the Time Warner re-transmission agreement, please call 1-800-948-9655.
does anyone else have problems getting channel 4 through HD antenna? all the other stations come in 720p signal via hd antenna (2,3,6,7 and a few more), but channel 4’s over air signal seems to suck badly.
Alright then. I’m guessing TWC isn’t going to give us a discount for decreasing their service, so I’m calling Verizon today. FIOS TV here I come.
Anybody have FIOS TV? What’s the deal with the converter boxes? Do I need some sort of fiber/coax converter?
Someone clue me in.
they arent in the city yet
They’ve been in Tonawanda for a while, but I don’t watch TV much and the price is a wash, so I haven’t found any motivation to switch yet.
This works though.
so does DTV along with channel 4 >>
