The actual book used by inspectors READ THIS IF YOU HAVE A QUESTION! So we don’t have to know how your uncles moms cousins former room mate was failed because some dumbass who never finished his GED said it does. There is no arguing with the factual information.
I have a 93 ford tempo. The car has a crack in the windshield less than 11 inches long, maybe 8 inches at most. About 5 inches of the crack is located where the windshield wiper’s path is. Is that illegal?
Here is what I have found:
No crack of 11 inches long or longer is allowed if any part of the crack is within the area cleared by the windshield wiper.
* Windshield - check for presence and condition
* All windows - approved safety glass or rigid plastic and condition
Any “star” larger than 3 inches in diameter is
located in any area of the windshield. There
is a crack more than 11 inches long, any part
of which extends into the path of the
windshield wiper(s).
If I understand that right, I should be ok? The crack is less than 11 inches long.
Reason being, I went to get an oil change and inspection and they failed me for the crack. Last year it passed.
x2 inspectrors are fucking dicks for cracks no matter what the size, i got a tape measure and if its less than 11 inches or a star less than 3 it passes
