i go to court tomorrow for a window tint ticket i got in lockport way back at the end of july. i have to go to the town of lockport court. i was hoping you guys have some tips and advice as to how you have beaten these tickets. my car has 4% tint on the back three windows and 35% on the front too. i have heard that the back windows can be as dark as you want. i know this ticket isn’t a huge deal, but really have other things to spend my money on and i don’t want to just take the tint off. thanks everyone.

yeah, its ridiculous. i haven’t been to lockport town court for this though. when i went in cheektowaga i argued that my tint on my rears is as dark as the factory tint on the cars we get at the dealership i work at. (now i know this isn’t true, but it worked and i ended up just paying for the fronts)
Well you can do what i did, Dont take off the tints. Plead not guilty, then they will prob ask for pics of the vehicle. Then tell them you sold the vehicle and they will most likely drop it down to a parking ticket. Which is only $50 (in cheektowaga). Should work…

It should be a DOT offense and the car should be tagged out of service on the side of the road while you rip them off.
Its a danger to people driving around you at night. You cannot see out of tint that dark when theres no street lights. Its ridiculous. These threads make me wanna punch people in the face. Pay your 40$ fine if you cant afford 40$ you shouldnt have spent the money on getting the tint / end rant
