335i stock? How was that around the track. I <3 those cars, still looking for the perfect one
I had a great time, thanks to everyone that put it on. I was a little disappointed that I was never able to run with the Porches, they both seemed to have skilled drivers too. I wonder what kind of lap times they were putting down.
The rain was a fun, especially on the mostly bald R-Comps. I need more practice in the wet! Thanks MPD for showing me how slow I was goingā¦
Another thanks to SlyDemon for letting me take the GTO out. That thing is a beast!
Also, I canāt believe picture are up already, this has to be a record or something! You guys take some awesome pictures at every event. Iād love to get full size pictures of the GTO and STi (blue) if possible. Do you give them out, or charge a couple bux a piece?
Just a Procede. The car is very capable around the track, but it could really benefit from an LSD. Stock brakes and suspension are very good for a track like Dunville. Pick one up if you get a chance.
Here is some video from Farz in the red 997 GT3.
If anyone has stuff they wouldnt mind sending him in full res (Zong, ILC?) shoot me a PM and Iāll pass you along his email addy.
Zongā¦ thanks for those shots.
np! let me know if anybody needs high res. There are a lot of pictures I didnāt post so I very well may have your car.
Anytime! You were in my car with my for my fastest lap of the day (Iām pretty sure, still need to fire up the PBox software and attempt to figure it all out). Weight balast ftw! Also remember that braking isnāt JUST a factor of your brake pads. My sticky tires do help with braking too. And as Mike will tell you, sometimes he yells at me for getting on it too hard Iāve slowly had to learn a more gentle, yet still firm, threshold braking approach.
Silly Porches.
Side note: We need to get John from the track on here. He was like āYou are a track BEAST!.. wait, no, Iām sorry, a track BEAUTY.ā Heās on my good side.
In his first video he passed in a non-pass zone with (what looked like?) no point by
My brother took about 500 pics that I have to go through, and will post on flickr or something at some point. I had a fun day, got back into it after a few sessions, cept at that point my car would overheat after 5 laps or so New radiator will be coming shortly. Then counterclockwise for the first time ever, in the rain on r-comps, I had no idea where to go and no idea how the tires would do. Tires ended up feeling ok, still at full tread, but needless to say I was going very slowly, and just trying to figure out the right lines.
Yeahā¦some nice examples of the passing into corners without a point by.
Had a great time. Thanks to the organizers for putting on the event at a crackhead priceā¦ and muchas gracias to turbociv and dontknowyourusername for babysitting me when my diff started giving me problems on the way home.
My car needs R compsā¦ and most importantly a better driver lol. :burnout:
Nice pics.
Iāll pm you any good pictures I have of your car. All will be in the wet though. Iāll send them over in full resolution so you can do what you want with them
Looks like I missed a good oneā¦ maybe next time. Nice pics!
 I figured the lack of LSD would be a slight factor
Iām on the search for one everyday
Some slightly Editted pics of the STI.
I like the second one, old school vs. new.
Thanks! Awesome job with the camera, and the resolution is ridiculous. I downloaded them, so you can take them down whenever.
LOL at picture three ^^^ It looks like the puddle was scared, and jumped out of the way.
@ 1:36?
I was flagging, the Boxster went off track actually, was watching his mirrors/GT3 behind him and ran out of track. I wouldāve done the same thing. Ended up tossing a yellow for about 30 seconds.
Aha! That makes a lot more senseā¦ actually watching the video again, I can definitely tell that he went off, now that Iām looking for that. Thanks for clueing me in
